Is Intermittent Fasting Right for You?

Many people ask me about IF and if it works or if its right for everyone. Like the answer to most questions in the health and fitness world, it depends.
What is intermittent fasting? - Its basically fasting for an extending period of time and then eating all of your daily calories/macros within a specific window of time. - There are many different types of fasts, but the most commonly practiced one is a 16-hour fast and an 8-hour eating window.
What are the benefits of intermittent fasting? - It can help people with overeating and snacking throughout the day since you have a specific window of time to eat. - It can help insulin sensitivity so that when you do eat, more of those nutrients are absorbed and utilized by the body. - It can help decrease your appetite by having larger meals and by postponing the production of the hormones leptin and ghrelin, which are involved signaling hunger.
Who should consider intermittent fasting? - Individuals who have issues with portion control. - Those who have problems with snacking throughout the day. - People who are always in a rush in the morning and tend to skip breakfast.
Whats my take on intermittent fasting? - Personally, I frequently practice this type of fasting because my day starts so early in the morning and I just don't think about eating until my morning slows down.
